Many years ago I started replacing the old out-dated words of English Bible versions with modern day synonyms. This practice alone brought understanding to many passages of the Bible and enhanced my teaching. Now I am implementing those synonyms into a new Bible version called the Easy Read Bible.
This work is still in progress. I am translating directly from the Greek (in which I have had much training in college and seminary) and staying as close to it as possible. The New Testament will take three to four years to complete.
